Automotive Technology Program

History

The Automotive Technology program accepted students from 2012 to 2016. It has not accepted students since 2016.

Degree Earned

Students who successfully complete this program are entitled to receive an associate degree (Automotive Technician Title) in the field of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies.

Admission Requirements

Citizens of the Republic of Turkey must complete the processes / pass the exams determined by ÖSYM within the framework of the academic and legal regulations of our university. Foreign students are accepted according to our university's 'Foreign Students Application, Admission and Registration Directive.'

A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program in Turkey or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer. The acceptance of students is examined and evaluated individually before the semester starts, considering the conditions of each student and the degree they applied for.

Transition to the Next Level

Those who successfully complete the Automotive Technology program can transfer to the undergraduate program when they receive sufficient points in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM. Our graduated students can make vertical transfers to undergraduate programs such as Industrial Engineering, Automotive Design and Manufacturing Energy Systems Engineering, Automotive Technology Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Automotive Industry Naval Engineering Operation Engineering, Marine and Marine Technology Engineering, Energy Management, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Body - Engine, Aircraft Body - Engine Maintenance.

Graduation Requirements

In order for the student to graduate, he/she must be successful in all courses (120 ECTS) and have a minimum Weighted General Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00/4.00. In addition, the student must have completed a 20-day Professional Internship and been accepted.

Graduate Employment Opportunities

Automotive technicians can work in almost all levels of main and sub-industry automotive factories with titles and responsibilities that can be considered as technicians. In these units, they take on responsibilities and duties in many areas from group leadership, service management, sales group leadership, spare parts, service workshop management to personnel training.

Assessment and Evaluation

Students are given 3 exam rights each semester: Midterm Exam, End of Term Exam and Supplemental Exam. Student success is evaluated according to the Relative Evaluation System.
